About Us

a pathway to

discipline, confidence, and personal growth

The WCI Gymnastics Foundation was created to provide access and opportunity for young gymnasts from underserved communities in the Chicagoland area. Founded by Darion and Jillian Knight—lifelong advocates for youth development and equity in athletics—the foundation is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive through sport. Gymnastics, with its emphasis on discipline, focus, and resilience, offers more than physical training; it builds character, confidence, and lifelong skills. Yet for many families, the cost of training, equipment, and competition fees can be a barrier to entry.

Through scholarships, mentorship, and community partnerships, the WCI Gymnastics Foundation works to eliminate those barriers and open doors for aspiring athletes who might otherwise be left behind. The foundation not only supports individual gymnasts but also invests in inclusive programming and outreach efforts that reflect the diversity and strength of the Chicagoland region. By creating pathways to participation and excellence, WCI is helping shape a new generation of gymnasts who are empowered to leap higher—in sport and in life.
